Together with Runtime release 5.5.1 for Windows and Linux the VisualApplets Release 3.0.6 and a new version of our external frame grabber LightBridge 2 have been published. Three new Standard Acquisition Applets for line scan applications have been integrated in the release. Important for PoCL users: The start values for PoCL detection have been deactivated by default for our Camera Link microEnable 5 marathon and LightBridge frame grabber series.

With Runtime 5.5.1, the Standard Acquisition Applet sets for microEnable 5 marathon ACL, VCL and LightBridge got a comprehensive update. For all models three new Standard Acquisition Applets for the support of bi-linear Bayer line scan cameras (especially Basler Sprint, Dalsa P4 and e2V Eliixa+) are available. The DeBayering is executed in real-time on the frame grabber. By the color reconstruction the host PC gets considerably unburdened of extensive calculations.
From Applet Set version v2.0, all line applets for grey and RGB support much higher line widths. This value of the maximum width has been extended depending on the applet to 32k up to 64k pixels.

LightBridge 2 VCL with Thunderbolt™ 2

Our external Camera Link frame grabber LightBridge 2 VCL is in the new version compatible with Thunderbolt™ 2 and now available with double data performance. The device transfers a data bandwidth of up to 1,350 MB/s, as single device or in a Daisy Chain network, has two Camera Link camera ports and is fully compatible with the LightBridge previous version. With the possibility to connect LightBridge to a PC with a Thunderbolt™ 2 optical fiber cable an interference-free data transfer over longer distances can be guaranteed.

Changing the PoCL Detection Manually

With the new versions v2.0 of the Standard Acquisition Applets for microEnable 5 marathon ACL, VCL and LightBridge the automatic PoCL detection has been deactivated by default. To connect a PoCL camera the automatic PoCL detection can be easily activated using microDiagnostics.
